  • Alâeddin Asna, (M.A., PR, Michigan State University-USA), founded “A&B Public Relations” in 1974 as the first PR agency of Turkey. At that time, the discipline of PR was not known among the business circles as well as by the public.
  • While A&B was growing steadily, the pioneer PR specialist of Turkey, Mr. Asna, kept on his academic career. Due to his studies at the Communications Faculty of Marmara University, first as a Proffesor and then the Dean, Prof. Asna handed his responsibilities at A&B’s board to Sibel Asna in early 1995. Since then the company has continued acting as “A&B Communications” owned and managed by Sibel Asna.
  • In 2004 when A&B celebrated its 30th year, it has adopted a new approach in its process of institutionalization. A&B has finally established A&B Communications Inc. to which its employees can be partners, which is a pioneering practice in the PR industry.
  • Within the new structure, Güler Akın, Meltem Erkaan Atalan and Selma Serdaroğlu, who worked at A&B for long years, have become the first shareholders of the company.
  • In the future A&B aims at pursuing a constant growth in the sector as a self administrated company which will be owned by its employees.
  • Under the leadership of Sibel Asna, A&B has adjusted its structure to create an effective teamwork environment and started offering customized services to its clients, each leaders in their own sector. Introducing its new concept of “Total Communications Services”, A&B has developed its human resources and scope of work to provide management consultancy.
  • In order to meet the demands from its customers and the business world, A&B set up a sister company called Plus C Communications and Organizations Inc. (+C) on May 2nd, 2006.  The basic principle of the company, founded to create and implement ideas for event organizations, short term and package projects, was set as providing services on par with A&B’s attention, quality and standards.
  • A&B’s new approach has been justified over the years by the success stories and long lasting relations with its clients.
  • A&B’s mission is to design and implement consistent and well-balanced communications strategies having measurable results and adding tangible values to the business. 
  • In order to bring the methodology and analytical mindset of engineering to PR profession and culture, A&B hired engineers in addition as well as the graduates of social sciences.  
  • Celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2004, A&B has served for more than 200 private and public, national and international corporations from 20 different sectors.
  • With a team of 35 people, 25 of which are PR specialists, A&B currently serves 14 clients from sectors like aviation, textile, fashion, finance, cosmetics, sports, white goods, equitation, design, IT, culture&arts, and pharmaceuticals.
  • A&B is a member of international organizations such as PROI (Public Relations Organization International) and IAA (International Advertising Association).
